Types of Custom Interior Logo Signs We Produce

Custom interior logo signs fall into three primary categories: 3D dimensional signs, printed flat signs, and illuminated signs. Each format serves a different visual purpose and suits different spatial conditions. Choosing the right type depends on budget, the complexity of the logo, and the permanence of the space.

3D Dimensional Logo Signs

3D dimensional logo signs are physical, raised constructions mounted directly to a wall surface. They are fabricated from acrylic, aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, HDU foam, or wood, depending on the desired finish and weight requirements.

The depth of a 3D sign — typically ranging from ½ inch to 3 inches — creates visible shadow lines and a tactile presence that flat graphics cannot replicate. This effect is most pronounced in spaces with directional lighting.

3D logo signs are most commonly installed in reception areas, building lobbies, executive suites, and branded feature walls where visual impact and permanence are priorities.

Printed Flat Logo Signs

Printed flat signs are rigid panels — fabricated from dibond (aluminum composite), acrylic sheet, or PVC — with a logo or brand graphic applied through high-resolution digital printing or vinyl lamination.

Printed signs are the preferred format when a logo contains complex gradients, photographic elements, or multiple colors that would be difficult or cost-prohibitive to reproduce in three dimensions.

This format is also appropriate for temporary branded environments, lease spaces where wall modifications are restricted, or projects with tighter budgets and shorter production timelines.

Illuminated Logo Signs

Illuminated logo signs incorporate LED lighting into or behind the sign construction. There are three standard lighting configurations:

  • Front-lit: LEDs are positioned inside a fabricated letter or shape, with light exiting through the face. This produces a bright, high-visibility effect and works well in well-lit commercial environments.
  • Halo-lit (backlit): LEDs are mounted behind an opaque letter or panel, projecting a glow onto the wall surface behind the sign. This creates a soft halo effect and is most effective on dark-colored walls.
  • Edge-lit: LEDs are positioned along the edge of a clear acrylic panel, illuminating the material from within. This produces a clean, modern appearance with a thin profile.

The appropriate lighting type depends on ambient light levels in the space and the color and texture of the installation wall.

Combined Solutions

Combined solutions integrate two or more sign formats into a single branded installation. Common configurations include a 3D logo mounted over a printed graphic backdrop, or illuminated channel letters set against a textured panel.

This approach is used when a single sign element is insufficient to fill the visual scale of a space, or when a business requires a fully branded environment — such as a complete reception wall with logo, tagline, and supporting graphics.

How to Choose the Right Sign Type for Your Space

The choice between sign formats is determined by five criteria: budget, desired visual effect, logo complexity, characteristics of the installation space, and production timeline.

If the logo contains fine detail or gradients, printed signs reproduce them most accurately. If the goal is to convey permanence and premium positioning, 3D signs are more appropriate. Illuminated signs are the strongest visual choice for spaces with low ambient light or where the sign must remain visible outside of standard business hours.

If the right format is unclear at the planning stage, our designer will assess the space and recommend the most suitable option during a free consultation.

Where We Install Custom Logo Signs

We specialize in interior signage only. Our installations are completed in commercial and professional spaces, including:

  • Reception areas and building lobbies
  • Conference rooms and boardrooms
  • Office entrances and interior corridors
  • Retail interiors and showrooms
  • Co-working spaces, studios, and creative offices

Each installation environment has different wall materials, lighting conditions, and mounting requirements. Our team assesses these factors during the site visit to ensure the sign is produced and installed correctly for that specific location.

Our Custom Signage Process

Every custom sign project follows a three-stage sequence: consultation and design, in-house production, and professional installation. All three stages are handled by the same team, without handoffs to third parties.

Consultation & Design

The process begins with a free consultation — in-person or remote — to review the logo, measure the installation space, and establish budget parameters. If only a JPEG or low-resolution file is available, our design team prepares a vector adaptation at no additional charge. The output of this stage is a dimensioned design mockup showing the sign in context.

Production

All signs are fabricated in-house. Standard production time is 2 to 3 weeks, depending on format, material, and finish. Each unit passes a quality check before leaving production — verifying dimensions, finish consistency, and, for illuminated signs, LED function and uniformity.

Installation

Installation is carried out by our own installation team. We do not use subcontractors for this stage. On the day of installation, the team prepares the wall surface, mounts the sign, and conducts a final on-site inspection to confirm alignment, finish, and — where applicable — lighting performance.

Why Businesses Choose Us for Interior Signage

Four factors consistently determine why commercial clients return for repeat projects and refer us to other businesses: depth of experience, end-to-end in-house delivery, precision color and material matching, and a verified track record across multiple industries.

10+ Years of Experience in Commercial Interior Signage

Our team has completed interior signage projects across office, retail, hospitality, and healthcare environments. This range of project types informs material selection, installation methods, and design decisions at every stage.

In-House Design, Production & Installation — One Team

Design, fabrication, and installation are handled by the same company without third-party involvement. This structure reduces miscommunication between stages, shortens the overall timeline, and provides a single point of accountability for the completed project.

Materials & Finishes Matched to Your Brand Standards

We work from brand guidelines and Pantone references to match colors, finishes, and material textures to existing brand standards. Available finishes include matte, gloss, brushed metal, powder-coated color, and natural wood grain.

Projects Across Office, Retail & Hospitality Sectors

Past installations include reception wall signs for professional services firms, dimensional letter logos for hotel lobbies, illuminated brand walls for co-working spaces, and retail interior signage for multi-location businesses. Reference images are available on request.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I'm not sure which type of sign is right for my space?

During the free consultation, our designer reviews the logo, evaluates the installation space — including wall color, ambient lighting, and available surface area — and recommends the most appropriate format. No decision is required before the consultation.

Do you handle the full project — design, production, and installation?

Yes. Design, fabrication, and installation are all completed in-house by the same team. We do not use subcontractors at any stage. This applies to all sign types, including illuminated constructions requiring electrical work within the sign unit.

Can you install a sign on any type of wall surface?

We install on drywall, concrete, brick, tile, glass, and wood paneling. The wall material determines the mounting method — anchors, adhesive mounting, or standoff hardware. Our team assesses the wall surface during the consultation to confirm the appropriate installation approach and ensure the sign is mounted safely and permanently.

What is the best material for an indoor logo sign?

The most suitable material depends on the visual goal and the installation environment. Acrylic is the most versatile option — lightweight, available in multiple finishes, and compatible with both 3D fabrication and edge-lit illumination. Aluminum and stainless steel are used when a premium metallic finish is required. PVC and HDU foam are appropriate for larger signs where weight is a factor. Wood is chosen for interiors where a natural or textured aesthetic is part of the brand identity.

What file format do I need to provide for my logo?

A vector file — AI, EPS, or SVG — is the preferred format because it scales to any size without quality loss. If only a JPEG, PNG, or low-resolution file is available, our design team prepares a vector redraw as part of the design stage at no additional charge.

How long does it take to make a custom business sign?

Standard production time is 2 to 3 weeks from design approval. Printed flat signs can be completed faster — sometimes within 5 to 7 business days. Illuminated and 3D signs require full fabrication time and cannot be expedited without prior arrangement. Timeline begins after the client approves the final design mockup.

How much does a custom logo sign cost?

Pricing depends on the sign format, size, material, and finish. Printed flat signs are the most affordable option, typically starting at a few hundred dollars for a standard wall panel. 3D dimensional signs range from $500 to $3,000+ depending on material and complexity. Illuminated signs start at approximately $1,000 and increase with size and lighting configuration. An exact quote is provided after the consultation and site assessment.
